TANZANIA EASTERN CIRCUIT SAFri
Tanzania Eastern circuit zone is not very famous but it is very unique and it offers what other parks don’t and has its uniqueness in the industry of tourism in Tanzania. A journey to these parks can easily commence from Dares salaam or Morogoro
The Eastern circuit zone is comprised of the following national parks. SAADANI NATIONAL PARK , MIKUMI NATIONAL PARK NYERERE NATIONAL PARK and UDZUNGWA MOUNTAINS NATIONAL PARKS.
This circuit is an ideal destinations for the tourists who prefer less touristic destination.
MIKUMI PARK- 2 NIGHTS/3 DAYS SAFARI
MIKUMI NATIONAL PARKS
Mikumi national national park is a fourth largest park in Tanzania with the area of 1250 sq km its located 283km west of Da es salaam and north of selous game reserve and enroute to Ruaha park and Udzungwa. Mikumi can be accessed by the good surface road from Dar es salaam via Morogoro .
This 3 days 2 night safari will start from Dar es salaam and you will drive for about 250 km to mikumi national park. Arrive in the afternoon and after lunch you will go for the afternoon and evening game drive.Mikumi is a home to elephants, Lions,wild dogs ,zebra, Hyena, Buffalo, wildebeest, Eland, Hartebeest, crocodile, lizards and other wildlife. Over 300 birs species have been observed in this park.
DAY TWO. Full day game drive will be enjoyed in this parck wonderting from one corner to another in search of big fives.
DAY 3. Early in the morning you will visit a maasai village near Mikumi park. Learn about their authentic culture ,norms and tradition you can also buy some maasai sourvenir. In the end you will drive back to the camp for breakfast and packing your staff ready the journey back to Dar es salaam
2 DAYS SAADANI NATIONAL PARK
SAADANI NATIONAL PARK.
Saadani national park is one of the Tanzania’s national parks and the only one with beach front where the bush meets the ocean with the size of 1062 sq km. This park is located on the north coast of indian ocean roughly 100km North west of Dar es salaam and the similar distance from South west of Tanga port hence this park can be accessed from Tanga and from Dar es salaam.
You can access Saadani by Charter flight from Zanzibar or Dar but you can also go by car from both part Dar and Tanga .Best time to visit Saadan is all the year round but sometimes in April and May roads are impassable .
Main activities for tourists include Game drive, guided walks, swimming in the ocean ,boat trips. During your trip you can see wide range of grazers such as giraffe, buffalo, warthog, common waterbucks, reedbuck, hartebeest ,wildebeest, red duiker ,greater kudu ,eland, sable antelope, yellow baboon and velvet monkeys,
Herds of up to 300 elephants as well as predators such as several lions prides, leopard, spotted hyena, and black backed jackal. When doing boat safari on mangrove lined Wami river you have chance to spot hippos and crocodiles
